Are you going through a transition?
Have you ever felt the subtle but real winds of change blowing in your life? You can’t put your finger on it but you are certain that something is definitely coming. You can sense it. And you can almost taste it.
You really don’t quite fit where you are now but you are certain that you’re not where you are going to be. In short, you’re in that “in-between” stage. It’s called TRANSITION! Gotta love it, huh?
Isn’t it the strangest feeling? A better word for it is angst. But sometimes the word “torment” would be more appropriate. Either way, you know something’s a brewin’ but just not quite ready to manifest? You’re not even sure what is next. It could be a job, a relationship, or a move. Who knows?
All you know is change is coming. But the details of who, what, when or where remain unknown —

And what’s even more daunting is that transition often shows up on your doorstep wayyyyy before its time. Sometimes weeks, months or even years come and go before something tangible ever manifests…
Ugh. Gotta love that!?!
Well, if you are “in between” or in transition, I want you to know that you’re not alone on the journey. Look around you. There are tons of other travelers on the turbulent path of transition.
I, too, have sensed the winds of change swirling all around me and have been completely clueless as to what’s next. And because my heart was full of question marks, I allowed indecision to immobilize me; nailing my feet to the ground.
Like you, there are times when I am fully engaged, thriving and lovin’ life and at other moments I am distraught and confused, on bended knees desperately pleading and begging for a free pass to anywhere but here.
Well, I have an announcement to make. Drum rolls please……
(imagine me with arms lifted high in the middle of a desert screaming at the top of my lungs):
It is possible to Go and Grow through transition! Tada !
Now you may be thinking to yourself, “What does she mean by ‘go and grow’?” I’m talking about doing more than just gritting your teeth, putting your head down and charging through it with all the energy you can muster. I’m talking about more than just surviving transition and breathing a sigh of relief that says, “Thank God that’s over!”
Instead, I am talking about deliberately posturing yourself in a position that requires personal growth, development and change. So much so that that the ‘you’ that emerges from the process is better, wiser and stronger ‘you’ than you once were. Moreover, you will come out with ‘tools’ that will help you lay an effective foundation for the new season that you find yourself in.
You see, for anyone that knows me well, they can emphatically tell you that transition and me are like BFFs. But no two “transitions” are alike. You see, there are so many types of transition. I have experienced them all. There are the transitions that are self-imposed and personally manufactured. You know the kind. The kind that was induced because you were disgusted, busted, and just plain tired of your current stage in life. BAD idea! Been there!
But then there’s the other kind of transition. The mystical and exciting kind that comes as an unexpected knock on your ‘front door’ and lo and behold, it was transition. And in your heart of hearts, you perceived that this was a divinely inspired time of moving from “here” to “there”. In times past, this special brand of change was sometimes easy, but then at other times, much more difficult. And it didn’t come without its share of conflicting emotions, steamy tears and even some self-doubt yet, despite the discomfort in your soul, you knew it was right. Makes sense?
Today, I am writing to strengthen and run along side those of you who are in a transition that you haven’t conjured up or manipulated into existence. The transition that, although uncomfortable, is right on time, has found the right address, and has knocked on the right door. Yours!
So, are you ready to grow gracefully to what is next while growing wide, deep and strong in the here and now?
My mantra for Transition is: I will go and GROW through it.
So enough about me… for now. ![]()

What about you?
Are you in transition? Do you plan to just grit your teeth and Go through it or are you ready, in full surrender to Grow through it??
The choice is yours.
If you are in a transition, leave a brief comment answering the question:
How do YOU know you are in transition?
See you soon!
